Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 8GB module installed from the factory and want to install a 16GB module.  Looking through the service manual I found a part number but it says "16 GB memory module for use with AMD HP Pavilion 15 computer models 756760-004".  Can I upgrade to 16GB on my PC?

Yes upto 16gb possible (two 8gb sticks in the two slots)

Which AMD processor came with your CTO machine?

RAM configuration is different A10 and A6, A8, E2.

See page 2: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05143572

Get the exact same configuration sticks as given in the Manual.

Thanks a lot!  Its AMD A10.  The memory in it is 8GB DDR4-2133.  I'm assuming I'm just usuing one slot now and I have to buy another 8GB DDR4-2133.

You can enter BIOS setup and check if both slots are used.

Do you think I would be OK with ordering the same spec'd memory from another vendor or do I have to stick with the HP part #?

HP Recommended

RAM configuration has to be exact same.

Many good memory module brands are there. You can get any one of them. Hynix, Samsung, crucial are good ones.
