Pavilion al106tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I just bought a new pavilion al106tx with i7 7500u and 4gb ram. Is it possible to upgrade to 12gb RAM? And can I upgrade it myself (will this void the warranty?) or should I ask the shop to do it?

Thanks.

No worries. 🙂

The following is from the Maintenence & Service guide for your notebook.  Yes you can upgrade the memory. No, it will not violate the warranty.

DDR3-1333-MHz single channel support (DDR3-1600 downgrade to DDR3-1333)
Supports 8192-MB of system RAM in the following configurations:

8192-MB (4096-MB×2; not supported on computer models equipped with a 32-
bit operating system)

8192-MB (8192-MB×1; not supported on computer models equipped with a 32-
bit operating system)

 6144-MB (2048-MBx1 + 4096-MB×1; not supported on computer models
equipped with a 32-bit operating system)

What is the complete product name? You left off the first two digits.

Thanks for the info and your help, Erico... But the back cover quite hard to open.. It seems that I should ask the shop to do the upgrade for me..

Thanks again.
