HP Notebook - 17-bs049dx: Pavilion 6530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own a HP Notebook - 17-bs049dx which comes with 8 gb RAM installed. I wanted to add more RAM to speed it up. Can I upgrade it or do I have to let a professional do it? Also, from what I understand this Notebook can be upgraded to 16gb of RAM. Is that correct? How hard is it to upgrade this notebook?

Its specs

It has  8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) now. You can upgrade to

   (a) 16GB: add same existing RAM to slot 2 or using the following compatible RAM (will run at 2133MHz)

                  https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfs824a/ct11588848

   (b) 32GB (max): install 16GB each to both slots using the following compatible RAM (will run at 2133MHz)

Page 48 of the following manual shows you how to add/replace RAM
