Yes.

Chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual indicates that 2 x 16 GB of memory is supported.

Hello:

This manual indicate:

Supports up to 32 GB of system RAM (mobile workstation)
Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM

The question is if my HP EliteBook 850 G3 (product number L3D24AV) is «mobile workstation»?

When I buy my notebook specifications says:

Sorry,

I didn't see that the 32 GB was only listed for the zbooks.

Run this command to see if 32 GB would be supported in the Elitebooks:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Very thanks!

Sorry, I didn't know I could get this information from the terminal.
Sorry, my system is Ubuntu (GNU/Linux).

I find that dmidecode is the command for GNU/Linux:

○ → sudo dmidecode -t 16
# dmidecode 3.3

SMBIOS 2.7 present.

Will this be true?

Very thanks!

Hello:

You know if this memory is compatible for HP EliteBook 850 G3 (product number L3D24AV)?

Currently has M471A1G43DB0-CPB - Samsung 1x 8GB DDR4-2133 SODIMM PC4-17000P-S Dual Rank x8 Module

For upgrade:

Lexar DDR4 32GB Kit (2x16GB), 3200 MHz DRAM, 260-Pin DDR4 Laptop, (LD4S16G32C22ST-BGD)

or

M471A2K43BB1-CPB - Samsung 1x 16GB DDR4-2133 SODIMM PC4-17000P-S Dual Rank x8 Module

Which is the best (reliable) for you?

Very thanks.

You're very welcome.

The Crucial memory report for the model series also indicates it will support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

I don't know what memory is 100% guaranteed to work.

Guidelines for the memory:

1 x 16 GB DDR4-2400 = 2Rx8 CL17

1 x 16 GB DDR4-2666 = 2Rx8 CL19

1 x 16 GB DDR4-3200 = 2Rx8 CL22

This would be my recommendation:

Timetec 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 2400MHz PC4-19200 Non-ECC Unbuffered 1.2V CL17 2Rx8 Dual Rank 260 Pin...
