14s-fq0022na

Hello, I have the 14s-fq0022na and have serious buyers remorse. It is pretty much incapable of running simple windows based applications that my 10 year old child uses. I have upgraded the single slot DDR memory to 8GB, which didn't help and purchased a Crucial Nvme M.2 SSD card to add more space to the machine so that he could. I am however having real trouble with the machine recognising that anything is in the M.2 slot, it simply will not see it. I have tried through the BIOS, and that isn't seeing anything either. I tried a different SSD, another which through copious amounts of research tells me that it 'should be compatible'

I have tried to find the manuals for the board to see if the slot is even activated but they seemingly don't exist. Board 87B7.

If it is a busted flush, then so be it, and I will purchase something else from somewhere, my lad just wants a computer that he can use.

Any help would be appreciated.

Am I wasting time and effort and is this particular product just not upgradeable?
