Good morning,

 

I have an HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx, i7-8550u, 8GB, and 512 Go of storage.

I would like to upgrade the SSD to reach 2To storage and get a faster and more responsive computer with faster read and write speeds.

 

What are the maximum read and write speeds this computer/CPU/motherboard can achieve? Does it worth spending 170€ for a Samsung 980 Pro M.2 SSD 2 To? Will the laptop reach the expected 7000mo/s of read and 5100mo/s of write speeds of the SSD?

 

My current SSD is stock, TOSHIBA THNSN5512GPUK.
