HP Spectre - 13-af018ca

I would like to upgrade the harddrive of HP Spectre 13-af018ca from 256 GB PCle NVMe M.2 SSD to 1TB.

My question is buying a 1TB PCle NVMe M.2 SSD, would it be compatible in physical size in terms of width, length, and thickness for my laptop hardrive space slot?

Can my laptop motherboard handle the 1TB capacity?

Which harddrive brand is better: Kingston, Western Digital, Samsung?  I was told the higher price brand are faster.  Can my laptop motherboard able to handle the higher speed?

Thanks in advance

All standard NVMe drives physically have format 2280 (or 22mm x 80mm). For single sided drives they have same thickness. They can 1TB, 2TB or 4TB (new) capacity . It is much safer to use 1TB or 2TB (take into account heat sink) such as

                     Samsung 980 Pro

Note: your machine may run at slower speed.

Regards.
