On some models there is an M.2 slot that can be used to add a SATA M.2 disk in addition to the hard drive. You can see the slot for it in this video at about 3:34 in. From the direction this is shot you can see the header for the M.2 slot and also the screwhole for mounting in the empty bay to the left of the hard drive. Problem is on many of these models there is a place on the motherboard for the M.2 slot but no actual slot. So unfortunately, to be sure what you can do you are going to have to open it up and look. Officially HP did not sell this model with a dual drive configuration. It was either a 2.5 inch hard drive or an M.2 disk which makes it possible that if yours came with a HDD even if it has an M.2 slot it may not be activated. Your best most secure bet is just to replace the 2.5 inch hard drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. It will be just as fast as a SATA M.2 disk for running the OS.

Hi Huffer !
Will you please clarify few questions for me
.
1. As per manual m6-w105dx x360 works strictly only with 250Gb M2 SSD or 500Gb or even 1TB will work too?
2. If, after installing 250GB SSD M.2, B-Key, SATA-3, TLC , NGFF 2280 as it says in manual, bios doesn't see it, does it mean that on my motherboard the M2 slot is not activated and there is nothing I can do or I still should try different remedies such as to boot with just m.2, adjust legacy and secure boot options in bios, or something else ?
3. If I give up on M2 and decide to replace HDD to 2.5 inch SATA SSD can I use 1, 2 or more TB, is there any size limitation?
I will really appreciate if you could help me .
Thanks!
