I only have the AX210 and not AX200, with SPS M27269-005 0H. I'd need to get hold of a compatible AX200. They are available on Ebay, so I'll have a look.

What I don't understand is why I've gone backwards here and Device Manager can no longer see the card at all.

HP Recommended

Unfortunately, that I do not know.

What I do know is that there are some AMD model notebooks where the Intel AX210 will not work under any circumstances.

Some only show the Bluetooth working and most of them are like the second thing that happened where the card does not show up in the device manager at all.

Many posts on this problem--most of the notebooks on the search link I posted are AMD models.

There are some AX200's for sale on eBay.

I have one on the way from Ebay.

The AX200 was detected correctly in device manager immediately. Connection speed one way goes from a maximum of 433Mbps to 1297/600Mbps which is great. Iperf3 tests at 344/93 which is a bit disappointing since I am sat next to the WAP and upload seems quite poor.

Having said that, I only have one antenna so I'll try purchasing and fitting another.

..... and, in time, I'll be selling 2 x AX210 on Ebay.

That's good news.

Yes, you will need the 2nd antenna wire for the Bluetooth if that is essential for you.

Bluetooth is working fine. I've connected the antenna to the Aux socket. With the earlier AX210, it didn't matter which antenna socket I connected to, but I always had bluetooth, and no, I do not understand that!

As far as my research went, the AUX socket does WiFi + Bluetooth and the Main does WiFi only. As it is a 2x2 device, I'd guess I need both antennae connected.

My understanding is the Wi-Fi antenna goes on the Main terminal and the second wire goes on the Aux terminal for the Bluetooth.

Even better! I bought a pair of antennae from https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/376286652396 . I fitted one to the Main terminal and placed it in an area of the laptop with no PCB or metal over or under it - probably under the keyboard just away from the heat pipe where there is a small expanse of plastic. I am using the built in antenna for the other terminal. Connection speed has gone up to 1729/1729Mbps. Transfer speeds don't match the connection speed, obviously. Iperf is measuring 825Mbps in one direction.

Now to upgrade my wife's laptop using the other antenna cable.

Thanks for your help

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.
