Hi!

I want upgrade RAM on my laptop 15-ay009dx i3-6100U with 2x2Gb 2133 MHz ddr4. Can I use RAM with a different frequency, for example 2x4Gb 2400 MHz ddr4, or 1x8Gb 2400 MHz ddr4? In manual i find only information about max size of Gb(up to 8Gb/1 slot), but not about frequency.

Thanks

Hi:

Yes, that would be fine.

The faster memory will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that 2 x 8 GB of memory is the maximum.
