Dear experts,

My laptop model is HP g6 pavilion, product number: C9L68PA#ACJ.

1. Please tell me how much ram I can upgrade. 2.What kind of ram I should buy(DDR 2 or DDR 3)

3. Please recommend suitable brand?

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

This is the memory I recommend.   The site differs from the max the service manual indicates.

 

The manual indicates 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) is the max and crucial indicates 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) is the max, and I don't know of anyone on this forum that has installed 16 GB of memory in that model, so I cannot confirm the 16 GB spec to be accurate.  

 

I know the processor and chipset your notebook has should be able to support 16 GB of memory, but...

 

Crucial is rarely wrong, but I won't gamble with your money.
