I want to upgrade my laptop's ram from 8gb to 24gb.
Right now, in Memory Slot 1 -> 8gb 2400Mhz is installed.
So is there one more slot available?
Can i add 16gb Ram to upgrade from 8gb to 24gb and is it compatible?
What type of RAM should it be? DDR3 or DDR4?

You're very welcome.
Yes, you can add a 16 GB chip to the 8 GB chip and have 24 GB.
Bear in mind that with the 24 GB memory configuration, the memory will run in the lower performing single channel mode as it is now.
In order for the memory to run in the higher performing dual channel mode, you have to install memory in matching capacities (2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB...)
So one day, remove the 8 GB chip and install a 16 GB chip so you max out the memory and it will also run in dual channel mode.

Hi:
Below is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook.

Looks like you can install 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2400 memory in your model.
You should be able to get this memory in India.
Choose the memory part number you want, and change the country flag at the top right side of the page from the USA to India, and it will suggest places to buy it.
