Hello everybody!
I want better speed of wifi in my notebook, and my internet connection speed this allows.
So, I got Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi M.2 Adapter at my notebook (HP Pavilion 17-G109ur), as I understend there is max speed is 150mps and no 5ghz. Am I right?
I was started looking for wifi adapters with m.2 type, found several and after read some information in there, understood that not all so easy as I thought, because there was says - not compatible with hp, .... 😕
I read manual for my notebook ( http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04655191 )
And looks like there is only 3 models of adapter compatiblewith my notebook:
- Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 Combo Adapter (non vPRO) 784644-005
- Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter 792609-005
- Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 M.2 Combo Adapter 792608-005
But maybe there is some new/other wifi adapter models compitable with my notebook??

Hi:
You are correct. The BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi M.2 Adapter only works on the 2.4 GHz wifi band.
Here is the problem...your notebook only has one antenna cable connected to the Broadcom wifi card in there now.
There is only one model wifi card that works with one antenna and is dual band AC.
See this discussion below. I cannot guarantee this card will work in your notebook, but it is the only one that would be a direct swap.
The Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 Combo Adapter requires two antenna cables to work corectly.
If you want to give the Realtek 8821CE wifi card a try, here are the latest W10 wifi and bluetooth drivers for the RTL8821CE.

As I correctly understand - Realtek 8821CE will work on 5GHz. Am I right?
And I'm not found characteristics of Realtek 8821CE. Whats max speed of Realtek 8821CE can be?
So the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 can work not correctly? And why it was declare in WLAN modules in service guide??
Maybe in my notebook only 1 antenna cable connected to the broadcom wifi card, but what prevents to install the second one? Am I need something to know?

That is correct.
The Realtek wifi adapter will connect to the 5.0 GHz wifi band if you have an AC router. I do not know what happens if you only have a dual band wireless N router. It may connect to the 5.0 GHz band but not at its maximum speed.
Since it is a 1 x 1 card, the maximum throughput with an excellent signal is 433 MBPS when connected to an AC router on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.
The Intel 7265 is listed because it was an optional wifi card offered in other models in your notebook's model series. All of those notebooks that have the Intel 7265 wifi card will have two antenna cables connected to it.
Nothing prevents you from adding a second antenna if you so desire.
However, you have to be willing to completely disassemble the entire notebook including the display panel area to properly route the second antenna, and you need to buy the matching wifi antenna for best performance. The antenna part is listed in chapter 3 of the service manual.
Do you really want to go through all that trouble? I sure wouldn't.
Take a look at the service manual, chapter 6 for the disassembly procedures. Just getting to where the wifi card is located will be hard enough.

Wouldn't say it need to completely disassemble the entire notebook, at all. Anyway will need to disassemble it to replace adapter, any of both.
And about what trouble you are talking about? That will be great experience! 😄
First of all, I'll need to disassemble my notebook to check out what antenna in there and where to place second. Basic on this I'll choose what adapter to take - Realtek 8821CE or Intel 7265.
Btw, is there any recommendation about antenna for Intel 7265?? Thanks.

I'm glad you look at it that way.
You need to order the antenna kit listed in chapter 3 of the service manual for best results.
Chapter 3, page 20...the kit that is applicable (touch screen or non touch screen).
I cannot recommend or offer any other alternatives.

The Final is
I buyed Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 , that what i got :
After replacement I just switched on notebook and its worked, I even not installed drivers, there's like a default window's drivers. And it works great, as I want!
There was like a different versions of Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 for various notebooks, so if someone interested I buyed it here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7265-7265NGWAC-7265AC-NGFF-867Mbps-Wlan-...
Btw, I also replaced antenna for 2 new. But new antennas has a little shorter wires, so the first half of way of wire from adapter is as it must be, but the second it just going under display in the center from the side of it, and it affixed to the line of a foil/metal is from below, not from above as it was, so it's under display. And it's works. Is it ok?
