hp 15-fd0023dx

I own a HP 15-fd0023dx laptop (i3-1215u, 8gb RAM)

I recently ordered a 16gb ram kit under the pretense that I could upgrade the laptop myself. I was doing research and saw that it's apparently "non customer accessible" or something along those lines. I saw another post saying this didn't necessarily mean it couldn't be upgraded.

Question: Is it possible for me to upgrade the ram on my laptop by myself?

@NVR_IC,

According to HP PartSurfer, it appears that you can upgrade the RAM in your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fd0023dx (A9HM6UA):

Apparently, HP determined the following:

And the manual provides the best information -although this manual does not reference your processor: i3-1215U:

Meaning, the best I can tell you is that your laptop likely has only one upgradeable RAM slot, based on the HP Team's statement mentioned "slot" (singular) -not "slots" (plural)...

Before you attempt to open up your laptop, you can click on the link below and find out the max RAM capacity your laptop can handle: https://www.shareus.com/computer/2-steps-to-check-maximum-ram-capacity-of-your-computer.html.
