Hi,
I want to upgrade my laptop's wifi card to wifi 6(ax). I'm considering the following product from amazon.
Is this wifi card compatible with HP Pavillion laptops? They have mentioned that it may work after the bios whitelist, on the product listing page. Please let me know if it is compatible or not.
Thanks!

Hi:
That particular model Wi-Fi card definitely won't work.
Any Intel wifi card that ends in a '1' is a CNVio card and those only work in notebooks they originally came with.
What Are the Intel® Integrated Connectivity (CNVi) and Companion...
The parts list for your notebook indicates your notebook has a Realtek RTL8723BE wifi adapter.
Your notebook probably only has one wifi antenna wire connected to it and an AX wifi adapter would require two antenna wires in order to work properly.
You can easily upgrade to Wi-Fi 5 by replacing the Realtek card with this one:
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.
You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.
I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.
Not exactly what you were looking for, but it is better than what you have now.
