Hello,
I bought a laptop a while back that contains both an Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 and a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 950M (2GB GDDR5 dedicated) graphics cards.
I also have the following:
- i7 6700HQ @ 2.6 GHz, quad-core
- 12 GB RAM
Is it possible for me to upgrade the GPU to a higher up version of the 900M series (such as the 970M or 980M)? I'm aware this could breach the warranty, it's more a question of possibility. I thought it may be possible since they are separate as is.
Thanks in advance!
Edit:
Also, is it even possible to buy one of the graphics cards separately?

Hi:
There are no removable graphics cards in your notebook.
The GPU's are part of the motherboard, and the only way to upgrade the graphics would be to replace the entire motherboard with one listed in the service manual for your notebook that may come with better graphics.
This would probably cost as much or more than buying a new notebook with better graphics.
