I got the clone done correctly with no can't access any folders errors.
I took it apart and I know this is going to sound crazy but I do not see the ssd on the motherboard. I see the 2.5 storage drive but not the ssd that is 128gb.
Not sure where to go now with this. Lol.

Hi:
What I don't see is a procedure to remove and replace the SSD, so I don't even know where you need to look.
The service manual indicates that you have to remove the motherboard to get to where the memory and wireless card is located, so maybe the SSD is where you can't see it.

I noticed that also that it is not in the manual you sent me. Nothing about the ssd. The first time I did the Crucial scan it said it could not find my model. I did it today and it did find my model but it only shows upgrades for memory. I watched quite a few youtube videos on how to replace a ssd and everyone had the ssd right on top out there in front.
I learned a lot and I appreciate your help but it's not worth removing the MB. Everything is returnable so thats my next move here.

I agree with you.
There would be no way I would want to go through all that trouble to remove the motherboard.
Chapter 1 of the manual does indicate that M.2 SATA SSD's are supported, and if your notebook has a 128 GB SSD as you indicated in your 4th post, then it must be under the keyboard side of the motherboard.

There are no special requirements for laptops. If you are buying new, You shouldn't have any problems as all SSDs now have standardized measurements (read more on gagadget)
I would recommend the Samsung drives. If your budget is tight, get the 840 Evo with a 3 year warranty. I f you want the best performance, get the 840 Pro which comes with a 5 year warranty.
