Good evening,
I would like to know if the upgrading of the RAM and SSD can void the warranty for my PC HP Victus?
In theory if we check the chapter 5 of the service manual, upgrading the drive and memory seems customer authorized procedures.
It’s possible to have the confirmation about it?
If the upgrade create problems for sure this problems are not covered but normally if I will install the original part normally the PC will be covered again, correct?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Valmart

Hi, Valmart:
This is a peer-to-peer forum.
We do not work for or represent HP, so we are unable to reply on HP's behalf regarding the warranty terms and conditions.
I recommend you contact HP customer service and seek an official answer from HP.
Chapter 5 of the service manual on your notebook's user guides support page indicates that installing SSD's or memory is a customer-authorized procedure, so off the record, I would assume that you will not void the warranty unless you break something in the process of doing the upgrades.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Do note however, that if your notebook ever needs warranty work, you must return the notebook to its original hardware configuration before sending it in for service.

Good evening,
I'm sorry for my late closure of the topic.
The Support from HP confirmed me that the upgrade of RAM and SSD not invalidate the warranty but in case of damage, broken parts during the upgrade, the warranty will be invalidate. HP suggests to contact local technician, in your country, for the upgrade.
The memory of my PC it's DDR4-3200MHz, it's important to upgrade the ram in this way:
- 32GB (16GBx2)
- 16GB (8GBx2)
- 12GB (8GB+4GB)
- 8GB (4GBx2 or 8GBx1)
Have a nice day.
Best regards
Valmart
