Hi:

Happy New Year to you too!

You should be able to upgrade your notebook to as much as 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory

You would want the Crucial DDR4-3200 memory such as the first one listed on the report at the link below (the DDR4-3200 memory with the green circuit board).

Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp 14 series | HP 14-ec0000 | Crucial.com

The Crucial report also indicates you can install as high a storage capacity as 2 TB for a NVMe SSD.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory and SSD removal and replacement procedure.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

Chapter 1 of the manual indicates the max memory is only 2 x 8GB, but I think that is wrong.

You can always confirm how much memory your notebook can run by doing this...

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Here is a service teardown video you can also watch to help you take the notebook apart.
