HP 250 G6 2SY44ES#ABU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello I want to upgrade my laptop's memory, but I am not certain if that is possible. My laptop's product name is HP 250 G6 2SY44ES#ABU, i7-7500U, 8GB RAM.

I would like to upgrade these 8GB to 16GB.

Hi:

Yes that would be fine.   Your notebook supports 2 x 8 GB of memory on models with the Intel core processors.

And what speeds could I use?

Thank you in advance.

You're very welcome.

Your notebook's i7-7500U processor cannot run the memory any faster than 2133 MHz, so I think the most commonly available memory to use would be DDR4-2400 which will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz.

If you can't get that, then go with DDR4-2666 MHz.  It will also bridge to 2133 Mhz.

Can you get this memory in Serbia?  If so, this is the brand I recommend...

I can get Kingston 8GB 2400MHz and 2666MHz. As far as crucial goes only 16GB memory is available. And also, is 2400 a better choice over 2666?

HP Recommended

The Kingston should be fine.

I like to use memory that is the closest to what the notebook originally came with, so my choice give the two options would be the DDR4-2400.

The only reason I might go with the 2666 MHz memory would be if I planned to install it in a newer model notebook I might buy in the future that could actually run the memory at 2666 MHz.
