Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?
HP Recommended
Example: Pavilion 1165ev
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my old notebook and turn it into a gaming laptop. Is it something realistic?

If yes, could you recommend what parts to choose or what I must know before starting?

I am looking for a compatible Intel i5 processor, RAM and a better graphic card... And fans to avoid overheating.

Thanks in advance!!!

@KonstantinaC First thing you need to do, is identify the game you want to play on the laptop, check the system requirements of that game and set that as the target for your upgrades, although, having said that, it could get rather expensive compared to just buying a new HP laptop instead.

Graphics card and processor are integrated on the motherboard and cannot be replaced, so you'll have to replace the entire motherboard,

The RAM can be upgraded, you may check the details listed under page. 52 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures by clicking here (part number & replacement instructions)

And page 3 of the same link contains information on what type of RAM is supported by your device.
