Hi guys, I'm the mostly happy owner of a Spectre x360 13-4005TU (2015, 4gb ram, i5 5200U 2.20ghz).
While I've been very happy with the device for the last few years, I've noticed recently that I'm desperately in need for additional ram and would also benefit from a higher CPU speed. I would like to purchase a new motherboard that is compatible with my existing model, with hopefully greater ram and CPU power.
The problem: I'm confused when looking around, about what model numbers would be compatable - there seem to be so many different ones, and they may even vary from country to country?
I think I've narrowed down at least two parts which could be options:
-Part no. 801506-501: i5-5200U 2.20-GHz, 8.0-GB of system memory
-Part no. 801505-501: i7-5500U 2.40-GHz, 8.0-GB of system memory
Could someone let me know if I'm correct that the above two would be compatible? Are there other model / part numbers I could look at in terms of options?
Thank you very much in advance!
Jay

This is the one you want:
Equipped with an Intel Core i7-5500U 2.40-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.00-GHz) processor (1600- MHz FSB, 4.00-MB L2 cache, dual core, 15 W), 8.0-GB of system memory, and the Windows 10 or Windows 8 Standard operating system 801505-501
However, you are going to spend an awful lot to have a fairly minor performance bump:
Also be very careful of motherboards for this model. This series has shown to be prone to burned capacitors and you are likely to find a lot of reworked boards out there which might not be the most reliable.
Good luck.
