Upgrading my laptop

I was thinking about getting an nvme ssd and a 3200mhz 16gb stick yet I am not sure whether or not these will be supported in my laptop, hence I request to you to please look into the below mentioned products (can be found on Amazon) and please provide me with the final verdict that whether I can go ahead with these upgrades or not.

The NVME M.2 SSD is a go. The memory is a bit more complex. The memory installed on this motherboard will run at a max speed of 2400. The 3200 memory might work but it would be run at regular OEM latency and at 2400 speed. The laptop will run up to 32 gigs (despite the Manual saying the max is 16) of DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM. Also even though it is a gaming laptop, you cannot use "performance" or "gaming" memory like Hyper-X  to any advantage so you might as well get Hynix Samsung, Crucial stock OEM modules.

I am not sure about this so I thought I should ping you before going further do I need to to reinstall my os on the new ssd or is there a spare slot for the ssd in my laptop?

You definitely want to move the OS to the NVME M.2 SSD to take advantage of its speed. Many ways to do that. You will keep the original HDD and have the SSD also. Post back if you need more help.

I think I was not able to make myself clear in the previous reply, I currently do have a 128gb ssd which came installed with the model and I am confused whether that one will be replaced by the 1 tb nvme and I have to install the os from scratch or is there a spare slot available and I can retain my os as well as files and have a 1 tb nvme storage.

You will be replacing the 128 gig M.2 with the 1 TB. The OS is on the 128 gig drive. You need to clone it to the 1 TB or do a clean reinstall on the 1 TB. The OS license will be applied automatically. HP has a cloud recovery app which works pretty well. Cloning the old disk to the new will take an external adapter and cloning software like Macrium Reflect Free.
