I am wanting to install this  nvme ssd in my laptop. I was planning on doing so by removing the intel optane memory and installing the ssd in that slot. I plan on having windows run on that drive and not using the hard drive any more. Is this possible and will windows be able to boot from the ssd?

That is possible BUT you need to prepare properly to disable Optane first (on page 13) of the following instructions
