Upgrading to backlit keyboard

Hi.

So my laptop keys are coming loose and I want to replace the keyboard with a brand new one with no worries of any other keys coming loose.

My question is if my laptop has a power plug next to my keyboard port, can the keyboard be replaced with a backlit keyboard. And if so is one available for my model?

I understand you want to replace the keyboard on your HP 15-fc0050ne and are wondering whether you can install a backlit keyboard instead of the original one.

The HP 15-fc0000 series was offered with backlit keyboard configurations, so a backlit keyboard exists within this series. However, that does not automatically mean that a backlit keyboard is compatible with your particular 15-fc0050ne configuration.

Also, the presence of a power connector near the keyboard connector doesn't by itself confirm that the motherboard has the required backlight connection. The keyboard/backlight configuration and spare part must match the specific product configuration.

Before purchasing anything, please provide the full product number/SKU of your 15-fc0050ne (including the characters after the model name). You can find it on the label on the bottom of the laptop or by pressing Fn + Esc.

With that information, we can determine whether an HP-compatible backlit keyboard/top-cover assembly is available for your exact configuration, rather than risking an incompatible keyboard.
