Use Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 instead of an ntel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265?

My laptop, Pavilion X360 15-br158cl, came with the slow AC 3168 and I was wondering if I can use the faster Intel AC 9260 instead of upgrading to the AC 7265?

I know it is not listed in the hardware manual, but the hardware manual also stated  m.2 upgrade of only 128GB and 256GB yet the 1TB Samsung Evo 860 M.2 PCIe and 2.5" drives are working flawlessly together.

My laptop has the i7 8550u

Also curious about the RAM limit, the processor states it can handle up to 32GB RAM, is the 16GB Ram limitation in the hardware manual due to the HP System board?

I run VMs on this tablet so tend to bump up to the 16GB max at times.

Hi, Martin:

Upgrading to that model wifi card shouldn't be a problem.

Just make sure you get the non-vPro version of the card.

Better still...get the Intel AX200 non-vPro.
