Hmmm... I have some knowledge about electronics, and if my laptops battery makes hissing sound, and there comes smoke out of it, and then it wont charge and says blown fuse, then usually the problem is not in the charger. But yes I have tried with other charger, tried uninstalling the driver (computer just turns of and then I had to power it back on and still not charging (blown fude MIGHT be the issue)) 85e + shipping (10€) douples my computers value so I still want to try fixing the board first and if really needed, buy the new battery.

here is a picture adter changin the cells inside the battery, it says that all cells are at 3.673v and that is correct, but it wont charge, wont turn the laptop on and says: blown fuse and calibration needed (and that was after replacing the fuse).

So I still guess that the problem is blown track on the pcb, and to fix this, I need to know where the tracks on the pcb lead. and for that I need wiring diagram, so can you please give me one for this battery?

@4LEKS1, Thanks for your quick response and time again.

You did a Marvelous job by trying the steps recommended previously.

Also, I'm glad to know you tried the steps on your own.

As you mentioned you need to know the tracks on the PCB board.

We don't have the part number for the PCB leads, it could be an issue with battery connector on the system board which could have gone faulty.

Please replace the PCB on your PC to get the battery charging issue to be fixed. Please share the product number of your PC to share you the part number for the system board.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Take Care! 🙂

The product number is in the picture I'm sorry that it is not in english but it's in the place where it says "tuotetunnus". But the computer charges my friends laptops (same VI04) battery, and it can use it too, so I asume that there is no problems in the computers motherboard.IMG_20180704_111945.jpg

Here is picture from the battery management system (and some debugging wires), Will those codes tell you anything?

and in the hp battery test software it said "state: 43D0" I could not find anything from google, do you also have some manual that will tell about those error codes?

thank you.

I discovered burned component on the board. I guess that it was the component making the hissing sound. I guess that it is current sense resistor, but I'm not sure do you know what it is?

@4LEKS1, Thanks for your response again.

Thanks for sharing the product details.

I was not able to narrow down the exact part on your PC.

However, I think it could be the battery board.

Refer the laptop user guide for more information. Link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04511833

Hmm this feels like speaking with bot... I have said multiple times that the problem is in the board INSIDE the BATTERY, not in the computers mainboard... If you hqve datasheet for it so I can use openboardview to fix it. I'm really disapointed about hp, before the quality was pretty good, and there was even some info available. Nowadays, you say that batterymanagement board had died and I wanted to fix it myself with info about how its made, and I get "have you tried different charger" 😅 guess this is my last hp soy experience 🙂
