Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,
According to the user manual of my laptop, it is possible to charge it via the USB-C port. Unfortunately this does not work, I have tried it with a docking station and several charging adapters.
Excerpt from the manual (Page 14):
Connects an AC adapter that has a USB Type-C connector,
supplying power to the computer and, if needed, charging the
computer battery.
– and –
Connects a USB device, provides high-speed data transfer,
and charges small devices (such as a smartphone), even
when the computer is off.
NOTE: Use a standard USB Type-C charging cable or cable
adapter (purchased separately) when charging a small
external device.
– and –
Connects a display device that has a USB Type-C connector,
providing DisplayPort output.

230 watts are needed with the following dock,if you have less you should turn off the laptop, it is the power nominal, not the USB-C power.

Hi @Udo10

You must use a USB-C charger that has the same watt rating as the normal AC charger, your model is sold with 200 and 230 watt chargers, then you must buy a USB-C that has that rating,. If you buy with lower wattage you must turn off the laptop so that it can take some charge, do not accept any cell phone charger does not have the necessary wattage.

Thanks for your quick reply!
As far as I know, the USB-C standard only supports a maximum of 100 watts. Does this mean that the laptop can only be charged when it is switched off?

Another small addition I tried today with the "UGREEN Nexode X 100 W USB-C 3-Port GaN Ladegerät" charger. Although this only has 100W power, the laptop charges.
