Hi,

I have a problem with my wifi adapter (RTL8723BE) –  it loses connection very often. Second problem - it doesn’t work with my 5Ghz router. HP suggests Broadcom BCM 4352 WLAN 802.11 AC for my laptop, but it is not available at UK market.
Could you help me to find correct raplacement (only internal)for it?

Hi:

See this thread...

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Can-I-upgrade-the-wireless-card-to-802...

It appears you can get the same card in the UK...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/AzureWave-Broadcom-BCM94352HMB-802-11-867Mbps/dp/B00IFY8AGO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=U...

It says it is not compatible with HP notebooks, but that isn't true.

The only thing you need to be concerned about is whether or not your notebook has two antennas.

If it only has one, then you are out of luck unless you want to go through the hassle of routing a 2nd antenna which would require complete disassembly of the notebook including the display panel.

You can see this post which shows the card works just fine in a HP notebook.

You're very welcome.

There may be newer drivers for that card below...

This package contains the Broadcom Wireless LAN Drivers that are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapter in supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system.

Hi again.

Unfortunately I am not lucky man...today.
Looks like my laptop has only one antenna.

What about in this case? Do I need to have another wiring for this model  of adapter? Can I add somehow additional antenna or wiring?

What in a case, when I would connect only one antenna for main socket?

Hi:

That is unfortunate.

Check the service manual for how to run the antenna.  Chapter 6, page 85.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04427554

You would put the 2nd antenna on the opposite side of the one there is now.

There is also the part number for the antenna kit listed in that chapter on page 78.  It looks to me like you need the first one listed.

Antenna Kit (includes left and right wireless antenna cables and transceivers and screws) for HP

Pavilion 15 Notebook PC     HP Part # 762518-001

You just need to use the antenna the notebook doesn't have.

I give up. I have found only one offer this antenna for £32 + adapter £19...

Too many screws and money.

Are you sure isn't available another WLAN adapter for my laptop suitable for one antenna and 5GHz router?

HP Recommended

None that I know of.

They need two antennas in order to get good reception on both bands.

That's all right.
I'll try to find some used one.

Thanks for your support!
