I had contacted HP via WhatsApp in May-end 2021 to ask about my battery issue. I was told that I will probably need a battery replacement. Without me asking, he texted "I would like to inform you that the battery needs to be replaced and it is covered under warranty.". After that, I even asked if I would be needed to pay any extra charges, for which he replied "No, as the unit is under warranty. You will not be charged for it."

A week later, I called my city's HP Service Centre for battery replacement so I was told that I'll need to call HP Customer Care and generate a ticket, after which they will come to my home and replace the battery.

I called HP Customer Care, and the person I spoke to took remote control of my device (with my permission ofc), and since then my laptop font style has been weird and indexing has been turned off. I was told to drain and recharge the battery 3 times and that he would call the next day. I did not receive any call.

I called HP Customer Care again today and was told the I am not eligible for a battery replacement under my current Extended Warranty. This is extremely misleading. When I login to HP Support, it is clearly stated under additional that I'm available for N-CSR Battery Replace. Now, I understand that my requirement isn't for N-CSR Battery Replace, but we as consumers and laypersons would deduce from the N-CSR "Battery Replace" that this is meant for battery replacement. HP should be clearer with what they mention. I honestly only bought the warranty in the first place because N-CSR Battery Replace was mentioned. PLEASE MENTION WHAT N-CSR BATTERY REPLACE MEANS. IT IS EXTREMELY MISLEADING AND HENCE, UNETHICAL.

And I still haven't mentioned the issues I've faced since week 1 of purchasing the laptop. In the past 2 years, I've had to call HP more than 20 times. I have used 4 laptops in the past and none of them gave me such problems.

If I don't get a solution or reply to this, this would've been the last time I purchased an HP device.

I've had it with HP. I hope you don't disappoint.

Hi@Ishika16, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We understand some models are not battery-covered extended warranty either its CSR or N-NCSR part for more information.

Please refer to the document Care pack warranty.
