So I filed a warranty dispute for my HP laptop because it says it was out of warranty in July of 2020... but I bought the laptop on January 23rd, 2020... so I should still be in warranty. I do not have the receipt because I bought the laptop in January at Walmart. When I first submitted the warranty dispute, I just took a photo of the box, but then I resubmitted the dispute with the original case number and added a photo of the transaction from my bank account. Is that enough for proof of purchase? Like I said, I also still have the box.
The reason I need the warranty is because the left clicker key on my laptop is out of place and I wanted to get it fixed. I was going to take it to an HP Authorized Service Center near me, but obviously I need the warranty fixed to do so.
So, does anybody have any idea how long the process takes? It said I should receive a reply in one business day, but it has been three business days. Anything else I need for proof of purchase?
Thank you!
