Dear all,
Two days ago, I bought refurbished HP Pavilion 15 laptop in Seoul, Korea. I bought it about 650$ with i5, 8 RAM and 256 SSD, which is around 300$ cheaper than original one.
The seller is not official dealer (I think) and he told me they imported these laptops from the US. He, then, showed me the keyboard that does not have Korean alphabet on it as a prove. 🙂
The seller told me he can guaranttee for 4 months.
When I came home and after installed HP Assistand Support, it shows now my laptops has 1 year and 8 months warranty.
Now my questions are:
1. Is that warranty possible here in Korea since I bought it from non-official dealer? How to know it?
2. If so, can I upgrade the laptop with cheaper price?
Thanks in advance for your help!

If the laptop is refurbished and you bought it from a non official seller, the only guarantee you will have is what the seler offered.
Pavilion notebooks only come with a one year warranty from HP when they are new. For that reason I can say that the HP Support Assistant is incorrect.
"2. If so, can I upgrade the laptop with cheaper price?" What do you mean by that statement?
You can only upgrade it with what you can purchase and the price on that is determined by your own shopping ability.
