DISCLAIMER: Before I begin this is my first post and I couldn't find any means of just emailing a customer service representative so if this is in the wrong category my bad.
HP notebook 15-bs115dx
Anyway, first some history on this notebook. Ever since I bought it it's frequently had battery issues I've had to replace twice already. The first issue was that the max it would charge to was decreasing 90%, 80%, 70%... etc. The first battery I had bought was off of amazon and advertised to fit my model which it did but then of course gave out. May not have been the wisest purchase at the time but it was more affordable for me. Following was the next battery at which point I went and purchased from the manufacturer website and after searching found the battery very clearly designated for my notebook. This time because my laptop would *very* quickly deplete when unplugged. Fast forward to 1 year and 10 months later. In the last few days it's begun to malfunction again and now it just struggles to hold a charge. The HP assistant says that this is because of a weak battery. Since the warranty already ran out I've prepared to take this to a shop to have the issue inspected further, but I tried to shut it down and remove the battery and place it back in. In case it's just finnicky. (Didn't work) This battery I had received was labelled poorly with a sticker stating that it was the correct part, but I disregarded this and read the print on the battery itself. It's.. A completely different part number with a completely different family listed after this.
Can anyone possibly explain what's going on with the mislabelled battery here? Did I actually receive the wrong battery all this time and it was masquerading as what I had purchased? If so, is there anyway I can receive compensation because I'm concerned for the health of the laptop itself and the part clearly didn't last long at all. Another battery will cost 61$, the second battery was a dent in my wallet alone, and I'm hesitant to get a replacement now.
Apologies for the long-winded post, at a loss.

@titanartery, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you have a concern regarding the replacement battery you bought.
According to the printer specifications, this model Notebook uses a 3-cell, 31 Wh Li-ion battery.
According to the service guide, the part number is 919700-850 or 919700-851.
Kindly check if you order this battery from HP. If yes, and if HP delivered an incorrect battery, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

I was able to find proof that I had bought it from HP in my emails and it's the correct battery purchase too. I'll be sure to reach out to the support team soon about the wrong part. I hope the replacement is able to correct the other issues I've begun to experience now that the part has begun to fail. Now it crashes when I so much as make selections on screen whereas before it would run smoothly. If not, I'm not exactly sure what to do about the damage that's been incurred because of this mishap.

The only option aside from the HP community forums it gives me for my laptop is to visit a service center. Would that be correct? I'm just confused because this is a UbreakIfix and I'm trying to negotiate with the manufacturer itself about how they gave me the wrong part and damaged my device. There's no system I can see in place to do that or make a case, am I looking in the wrong area? That I'd like to be sent a replacement and compensation for repairs needed and not have to pay for another after their wrong. My laptop doesn't have viruses it just randomly shuts off and suffers from spikes and crashes now to the point where it's becoming unusable or I risk overheating it. And I need this laptop.

In other semi-related news, someone tried to scam me not long ago. Said all sorts of gibberish over the phone, they didn't get any financial information but it's beginning to feel next to impossible to resolve this issue and I might just purchase another despite the incident.

Bumping this since it's been a few days since I've gotten a response. Where would I go to make a case about the incorrect part? I'm trying to avoid having to pay for a replacement after that and I can't find the right contact and was nearly scammed in one instance.

It’s been a week now is there an estimate when I’ll get any contact? At this point I’d just like a refund as opposed to a replacement since this is becoming urgent. And I’d rather just get another part (that’s hopefully correct this time) then be refunded for the incorrect part.
