Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP states the RAM type for the following model is DDR3 not DDR4. Is this a misprint that has never been caught / corrected for 5 years or am I not finding the correct model or "Version" it's an HP Pavilion 15-au023cl W2L48UA, here is a link to the specs page, https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05096846

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

 

As per the Service Guide, the Notebook supports up to 16GB of RAM

 

DDR4-2133 Dual Channel Support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4–2133) Supports up to 16GB max system memory

 

refer to page 10 HP Pavilion Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide link
