Spectre 360 2-in-1

I just bought the Spectre 360 2-in-1 yesterday and I've noticed it emits a burning type smell when in use.  It's stronger when the fan is on.  I've bought HP Spectre laptops in the past and have never had this happen.  Will it go away?  It's very nauseating.
I've seen this post by others, but the reply is always, "I'll send you a private message."  Not helpful for the rest of us experiencing the same thing.  
Please help!

Please look for a private message from me requesting additional information. Keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).  This is necessary to address your concern regarding burning smell.

Is there any way someone could answer this question publicly?  I've seen these post at least a dozen times with no real reply, only a private message.  It would save a lot of time if you could post the answer here.
Plus, HP said not to give out info to anyone without the HP orange block next to their name.  I see you have Moderator, but now I'm concerned about sending you my data.  
Please just let me know if this is temporary.  I worked in electronics and this smell usually went away quickly but it's been over 24 hrs now.
