Hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on with my laptop. i bought this HP laptop 3 days before, and lately, websites is behaving strangely.

When i try to open a webpage https://hassan-brothers.ae/services-in-abu-dhabi/, instead of showing up normally, the text is all compressed on the left side of the screen. It looks totally messed up. the only new thing I've done recently is add a Passport Backup drive. Has anyone else seen something like this? Is it something simple I can fix?

Hi @Alex2814,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

The issue you’re describing might be related to the scaling settings or a problem with the browser. Here are a few steps you can try to fix this:

1. Check Browser Zoom and Settings

  • Open your browser settings and reset zoom to 100%.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies to ensure a fresh load of the webpages.

2. Check Windows Display Scaling

  • Go to Settings > System > Display.
  • Under Scale and Layout, ensure the scaling is set to the recommended percentage (e.g., 100%, 125%).

3. Test with Another Browser

  • If you’re using one browser, try opening the webpage in a different one (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Firefox) to see if the issue persists.

4. Disconnect the Passport Backup Drive

  • As you recently connected the drive, try unplugging it and restarting your laptop to check if it’s affecting display behavior.

5. Update Graphics Drivers

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand Display Adapters, right-click your graphics card, and select Update driver.

6. Update BIOS

Update the BIOS for your PC by clicking on the link.

Make sure you keep only the charger plugged in while updating the BIOS for your PC.
