Hello, I have EliteBook 8540P With 6 Gb Ram (2+4) I Need TO Upgrade my 2GB Ram To Be 8 So That All Would be 12Gb Ram So Would It Be Supported Or It have Maximum Limit for Ram?

I was hoping you had 4 slots like mine has. ( I have the QUAD Core CPU)

 

Then 16 GB would be your max. (2x8GB)

You could upgrade to a Quad Core???

 

But you would still be limited to 16GB memory.
