HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to find the right adapter/hub/dock to connect two external HP monitors via HDMI to my laptop.

HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible

Will the USB c support video display?

HP recommended a dock, but it did not have 2 HDMI ports.  I have a USB C adapter with two HDMI ports that is working fine on an HP zbook but my HP Envy x360 does not support that adapter.  What do I need to buy?

Your machine is an HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq105dx, its specs

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05315774

It has 1 USB 3.1 (Type-C™) port, most likely it is for Data Transfer only because the manual says USB 3.1 Gen 1 port with Type-C connector.

If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A options on market today including some HP products:

thank you!  I will check into one of these adapters/docks.

From what I can tell, I am going to need to use the USB 3.0 (USB A)

I was able to get dual monitors extended using the USB 3.1 HUB with the following adapter:

I downloaded the updated driver and rebooted prior to plugging into the laptop.  So far, so good!

I may have spoke too soon.  My audio doesn't seem to work with the USB C mini dock plugged in.  I'll do more digging and update if I figure out a solution.

Figured that out . . . Had to change the sound output to default back to my laptop rather than the USB-C.  Whew!
