My laptop was not getting charged, and was turning on only if AC adapter was plugged in. Sometimes when I start my laptop, it said CMOS checksum error. So I ran hardware diagnostics , and it says that battery is not found, so please let me know the exact problem,

Not exactly sure what the actual nature of the "critical failure" is, that is something for HP to determine and/or an authorized PC/Laptop repair business.
