Just bought the ENVY x360 (13m-ag0001dx to be precise). I can see on HP website it says the hard drive type is 128 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD. This page is also says the same.
But when I look up at the device manager, the hard drive installed is SAMSUNG MZNLN128HAHQ-000H1 which has SATA interface, not PCIe. Can anyone else please confirm whether the hard drive installed is PCIe (NVMe?) or SATA? Can't open the case because still in warranty.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
It is an M2 SATA3 SSD.
You could upgrade to an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD of your preferred brand and capacity. Upgrading RAM and Drives is an accepted practice and will not void the warranty unless you break something during the upgrade.
page 2 of the service manual:

Hope it helps,
David

You have diagnosed the situation as well as we could. The specs say you get a 128 gig PCIe/NVME M.2 and if your device manager is correct the M.2 in the computer is a Samsung PM871b, which is a SATA device. We have no means to adjust this issue for you. I will try to escalate.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
