I have thrown away the damaged battery of my laptop, and i don't know it's model number so as to buy a new one, i tried some ways to find it but no luck, kindly share your knowledge about it..

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
After reading your post, I did go through the Maintenance and Service Guide of your product and found out that your computer shipped with 4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery and here is the part number: 919701-850 Just by entering the part number in google search bar you will be able to find the website selling those parts. If you still need additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction, then you can contact our HP Support team.
