The list of supported Sandy Bridge (2nd generation Intel core) processors can be found in chapter 1.

 

Looks like the best processor you can upgrade to would be the Intel Core i5-2450M processor.

 

SSD:  Your only option would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

 

Look into one of the Crucial MX500 2.5" SATA SSD's.

 

They usually provide the best performance for the price.
