What size(thickness) hard disk drive should I use while upgrading my HP Pavilion x360 Convertible (HP Pavilion x360 - 13-s199nr) ? Is it possible to upgarde using Seagate - 1TB Internal Serial ATA III/Serial ATA II Solid State Hybrid Drive for Laptops link having Model No: STBD1000400 ?

Hi:

 

According to the service manual for the 13-s000 model series (which can't be much different than your model), the hard drive thickness is 7.0mm.

 

See chapter 3, page 14.

The drive in the link you posted will not fit in your notebook.

 

You need a 2.5", 7.00 mm noteboook hard drive.

Does my laptop(HP Pavilion x360 - 13-s199nr) support a 1TB Hybrid Drive (with 8GB Solid State Storage)?

Unfortunately, that I would not know.

 

I just go with one or the other...Full SSD, or full mechanical hard drive.

 

If the drive controller in your notebook is not set to RAID, I do not believe a hybrid drive will work to its maximum efficiency.

 

Any HP notebook I know of with the hybrid drives have the drive controllers set to RAID.
