First one is HP Support Assistant. This will search the computer and HP servers for drivers you are missing and install most of them. If you do this and are still missing any drivers post back and we can help you find specific ones:

That's fairly hot. Can you post a shot of Device Manager? Driver page:

All your drivers are installed. What functions are not working?

I have updated a few drivers now it looks good, I was not able to control the brightness.

But how can we minimize this heat, it really hot?

Can we do something about this, when I tried the HP recall verification software for the battery check it was working fine.

Per this response I bought a Samsung 960 EVO for my HP Envy X360 model 15t-w200.  When I install it with or without the IDE drive that came with this laptop the boot locks up solid.  I have checked that it has the latest BIOS/firmware.

Is there anything I can do buit throw away the $80 for the SSD drive?

@BigAlMD
Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

  • Have you tried with the original SSD or different SSD?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Are you making the SSD your primary or secondary drive?  I upgrade mine a while ago but I remember that the laptop came preconfigured with two drives.  I upgraded the lower capacity primary SSD with this Samsung SSD.  No special drivers were needed.  However, I had to boot from an external DVD so that I could install Windows 10 on the new drive.  The setup process was able to see  the drive no problem.

How far in the boot process do you get?  are you able to get into BIOS?  Make sure the SSD chip is properly seated.
