Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.

Since your notebook has an Intel core processor, your notebook can support any of the following:

  • 2.5-Inch SATA SSD.  You would need to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD
  • M.2 SATA SSD.
  • M.2 NVMe SSD.

PCI Express SSD is another term for NVMe SSD.

Hi.......thanks for your solution..........also.....which one would be the best SSD for my laptop among these... irrespective of the cost?

You're very welcome.

I would opt for a NVMe SSD.

Look into either the Samsung 980 (not 980 Pro) or the Western Digital Blue SN570 in a storage capacity that meets your needs and budget.

The costs for a 2.5" SATA, M.2 SATA or M.2 NVMe SSD should be pretty close nowadays if you compare the same brands and drive capacity you want to install.

Thanks brother.......it was a great help.

You cleared all my dilemmas.
