Good morning, please I would like to know what type of hard drive I should buy to replace it. Would it be convenient to use PCIe 3rd or 4th gen? I'm thinking of 512 GB. My laptop model is an HP 15-ef0023dx.
Thank you

Hi @Steven593
You can use Gen 3 or Gen 4, if you use Gen 4 the speed will be reduced to the speed of a Gen 3 disk.

Exactly, Gen 4 disks are compatible with Gen 3 interface but the speed is reduced.
