OMEN by HP Laptop 15-CE0XX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm looking into upgrading the memory for my laptop, and I'm getting a bunch of different answers from what I've been looking up online of what memory could work. I have an OMEN by Laptop 15-CE0XX, which currently has 8GB of memory (DDR4-2133 SDRAM) installed. I have two open slots, and I am potentially thinking of getting 16GB for each slot, or possibly 32GB, but some people say that the maximum is 16GB and that 32GB wouldn't be possible. My computer can run fine and play games on 8GB, so 16GB would likely be the best upgrade, but if I were to consider upgrading to 32GB would that be a possibility and what type of memory would be recommended for a laptop?

Just trying to make sure I order the proper memory before I attempt to put it in, thanks in advance.

Hi, @BlueLight218

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp omen 15 | HP OMEN 15-ce019dx | Crucial.com

They have compatible memory for sale for your model.

You would want either the DDR4-2400 or DDR4-2666 memory.

DDR4-2666 memory will run at the 2400 MHz speed because that is the fastest speed your notebook's processor can run the memory at.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.

Based on HP document "Maintenance And Service Guide" on this website:

It seems like your laptop support up to 16Gb...

But make sure to checked it once again your specific laptop product number...
