HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock

Hey you guys,

My HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock has suddenly started to play up. I have 3 monitors connected, after around 10 seconds after turning the dock on, the monitors fall out, then around 2 minutes later one of them will come back for 5 or so seconds then a few minutes later one of the others will flash though the prime colours then turn off. This cycle repeats...

I also connect my work laptop to my HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock and that works fine.

I have checked and installed any updates (windows11) etc...

Could anyone help me?

TIA

Fletch

Hi @Banhien

My home machine is a HP Pavilion (HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg2000 (4U8D9AV) )and my work machine is a Dell (eeeeewwwww I know!)

I actually have two of these docks setup on my build. The one we are talking about that links to 3 monitors, and another one that link to just 1 monitor. Whilst using my work machine I connect my HP machine to the other dock, and at the end of the day I swap out my work machine for my HP. Not sure if that helps? I thought that perhaps my HP machine might be remembered the other dock setup? Or doesn't it work like that?

Thank you

Docks are NOT the same, not one size fits all. Same as notebooks.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi, sorry, I should have said, both of my docks are the same make and model, they have worked perfectly until this week (yesterday). Do we have any idea on how to fix this issue?
