HP Recommended
The prongs part of the HP charger fell apart when I unplugged it from the wall outlet this morning. I would like to purchase replacement electric prongs ONLY, which is the part that is broken. The charging adaptor and the USB-C connector are totally fine, so I don't want to buy an entire replacement charger. The charger appears to be the HP USB-C travel adaptor, which came with my laptop, and the Amazon listing is this one: https://www.amazon.com/HP-Travel-AC-Adapter-Power/dp/B01N137V1W
The charger part number is 918170-004, and it says to replace with HP spare part 860209-840. However, those serial numbers point me to buying an entire replacement charger, which I DO NOT want. I only want to replace the electric prongs, which connect to the adaptor. Unfortunately, the prongs part does not have a serial number printed on it, so I don't know where I might buy replacement electric prongs.
Can anybody help me on this? I searched eBay, Amazon, and the HP Parts Store and could not find a replacement for the electric prongs. I do not want to spend $50 to replace the entire charger when only the electric prongs are broken. Since the prongs are removable from the adaptor, there had better be a replacement part!
