Hi, anyone know where I can get a genuine replacement battery from for my Notebook? Can't find anything on the HP website. The one I have in is 31.2 Wh  2850mAh. I'm in the UK.

You're very welcome.

If the 41-Whr battery you found references the 919701-850 part number listed in the manual, that should work.

Whr stands for watt-hours which is the amount of power used over a period of time.

In theory the 41 Whr battery should run a longer time before it needs to be recharged.

Hi:

I don't see that battery part number listed in the service manual.

HP 240 G6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

Chapter 3, page 19 indicates that there are two batteries used in the model series.

The one you described is the 3-cell battery:

3-cell, 31-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery    HP part # 919700-850

When you check the HP parts store, the battery is on back order and would cost 78.89 pounds.

The 4-cell battery is also on back order and actually costs less than the 3-cell one at 71.59 pounds.

You may have to settle for an aftermarket battery on Amazon or eBay that references either of those part numbers.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I took out my battery and that is the part number shown on it. I’ve found some on various websites but wanted a genuine Hp if I could get one. I’ve found some that have a higher Wh at 41 and mine is 31. Would the higher one be ok? I’ve no idea what Wh refers to. Wattage??
